Domestic Electrical wiring trainer

In addition to the above, AND is also initiating men engagement component through skills building activities. That being said, AND is seeking the expertise of a professional Electrician to train male participants on domestic electrical wiring basics/ process over a total of 12 hours spread according to the trainers and participants’ convenience. Yet, to be completed over a maximum of two weeks period. Training should cover the following:

• Introduce Basics to home wiring.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Establish Connection wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• train and coach beneficiaries to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• How to Use a variety of tools and equipment such as, measuring devices including multimeter, power tools, and testing Devices, and ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Install ground leads and connect power cables to Home appliances.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
• Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets.

The trainer shall demonstrate the following:

• More than 5 years’ experience in domestic wiring
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be personable and diplomatic in working with a diverse range of people.
• Communicate information with enthusiasm, clarity and patience.
• Ability to demonstrate, and communicate techniques clearly.
• Adherence to the recommendations of world health organization in terms of COVID-19 safety and precautions measures.
• Abiding to AND’s internal rules and regulations

The Trainer shall be responsible for the following deliverables.

• Preparation of Workshop Agenda, schedule, content material.
• Creating an interactive session, variety of training methods/means used throughout the workshop (Power point presentations, videos, forms, exercises)
• Providing an Appraisal of participants and overall training flow, best practices and rooms for improvement in addition to follow up recommendations.

Reporting

The Trainer shall report to the project manager.
