Geriatric Care Professional

In addition to the above, AND is also initiating men engagement component through skills building activities. That being said, AND is seeking the expertise of a professional Geriatric care person to conduct 12 hours workshop with a group of males and another one with a group of females on geriatric care timing spread according to the trainers and participants convenience to be completed over a maximum of two weeks period. Training should cover the following:

• Introduce the base of Geriatric care (for the physical and psychosocial needs of older adults).
• Plan and coordinate care for the elderly, test fever, blood pressure, heartbeats...
• How to communicate guidance with clarity, respect and patience.
• How to work on the logistics part (changing sheets, moving patients with specific disability)
• How to deal with main serious health situation, elderly suffer from mainly in the area
• Promoting, maintaining and restoring their physical and mental health.
• They also assist with basic functions, such as bathing and eating, and connecting individuals with resources for treatments and improved care.

The trainer shall demonstrate the following:

• Nursing degree of equivalent experience in provision of geriatric care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be personable and diplomatic in working with a diverse range of people.
• Communicate information with enthusiasm, clarity and patience.
• Ability to demonstrate, and communicate techniques clearly.
• Adherence to the recommendations of world health organization.
• Abiding to AND’s internal regulations

The Trainer shall be responsible for the following deliverables.

• Preparation of Workshop Agenda, schedule, content material.
• Creating an interactive session, variety of training methods/means used throughout the workshop (Power point presentations, videos, forms, exercises)
• Providing an Appraisal of participants and overall training flow, best practices and rooms for improvement in addition to follow up recommendations.
