In partnership with UNICEF, AND is operating safe spaces in Akkar (static and mobile) for women and adolescent girls. These spaces provide holistic services focusing on psychosocial support, violence prevention, livelihoods strengthening and social cohesion to diverse vulnerable populations Syrian and Lebanese, including women and girls, and survivors of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV), torture and trauma. AND is seeking a trainer with a strong background in handcrafts.
These services include skills building trainings for women and girls on several, diverse topics including painting on glass, thus the need for a glass painting trainer. The trainer is required to coordinate with the project manager to combine the needs of the trainees with the training material in accordance with protection priorities determined for the women and children
Areas of Responsibility: Workshop (Glass painting)
The main task to be completed by the Trainer shall be:
- Developing the training materials to be used in the training module, and implement the meeting agendas agreed upon with the project management team.
- Providing workshop on Glass painting trainer to a group including but not limited to:
- Selection of glass
- Selection of type of paint ( oil, acrylic or speciality paint)
- Selection of image/pattern
- How to outline image/pattern
- Painting the image/pattern….
The trainer shall provide the vocational training workshops to a group of 10 women in Akkar.
Learning shall be provided in cycles. A training cycle of 12 hours divided by 4 days.
Training locations: in the safe space Miniara –Hrar and SDC Hissa – Akkar.
Deliverables
The provider of services shall be responsible for the following deliverables.
- Training Syllabus and timetable
- Training Curriculum
- Final Appraisal at the end of the training cycle.
