General objective of the job:
AND is seeking a qualified Makeup Artist trainer to deliver a hands-on makeup artistry training that equips vulnerable women and adolescent girls with practical learning for enhancing their opportunities for employment or self-employment in the beauty industry.
Job Responsibilities:
The Makeup Artist Trainer will be expected to:
- Design and implement a 60-hour training curriculum tailored to the needs and skill levels of participants.
- Deliver practical sessions on makeup techniques including skin preparation, foundation matching, contouring, eye makeup, and bridal looks.
- Teach hygiene standards, product knowledge, and client consultation techniques.
- Introduce basic business skills for freelance work or salon employment.
- Provide mentorship and support throughout the training cycle.
- Monitor participant progress and adjust training methods as needed.
- Submit a final report with recommendations for future programming.
Deliverables
The provider of services shall be responsible for the following deliverables:
- Detailed training syllabus and schedule.
- All instructional materials used during the training.
- Attendance sheets and participant records.
- Completion of a 60-hour training cycle (location: Al Jured).
- Final appraisal report including participant evaluations and future recommendations.

- Proven experience in professional makeup artistry and vocational training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with vulnerable populations with empathy and respect.
- Fluency in Arabic; English is an asset.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to gender equality, inclusion, and human rights.
- Sensitivity to trauma, privacy, and cultural norms.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in makeup artistry.
- Prior experience training women or working with NGOs/local communities.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging, hands-on training sessions.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed and inclusive teaching approaches.

Reporting
The Makeup Artist/ trainer shall report to the project manager.
