Psychotherapist (Consultant)

Project Overview Akkar Network for Development-AND (AND) is implementing the “Justice in Akkar” project that aims at working with Lebanese and Syrian women in Akkar through prevention and response to domestic violence. This shall take place by conducting awareness sessions about the new Lebanese law protecting women from domestic violence, conducting social marketing, coordinating media appearances, and follow up with ISF in Akkar on reported cases. In addition, AND shall work with 100-150 women to provide them with in-depth knowledge of the law, Women’s rights, children rights along with short vocational trainings. The women beneficiaries will also benefit from a psychological and legal support when needed.                              Areas of Responsibility: Psycho-social support   The main task to be completed by the consultant shall be: -          Providing psycho-social support services and advice for women candidates participating in the vocational training, and affected women/girls in the community-          Work directly with social workers, if available to develop referrals and  intervention plans and follow up at  home level-          Draft reports-          Actively participate in case studies and team supervision session The psycho-therapist shall be more present and involved throughout the outreach and within the awareness sessions with a limited presence throughout training cycles. He/She shall be present once a month in each training center for advice and guidance. Training locations: Akkar (Bebnin and/or Mechmech) Deliverables The consultant shall be responsible for the following deliverables. Reports of cases he/she provides consultancy for, including any advice, referral, and follow-up provided. Final report at the end of the project.
