Security expert

AND is looking for a security expert to develop and consolidate operating procedures, security and emergency plan for AND's offices, responding to safety and security related risks, and establishing a security strategy.

Areas of Responsibility:

A Security Expert will perform the following tasks:

• Conduct Risk assessments of contracted offices, community centers, equipment… to ensure that minimal conditions for safety and security are being met.
• Establishing a plan to protect the organization’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues.
• Establishing protocols to respond to alarms and emergencies.
• Act as a security focal point for all staff
• Establishing an incident report record and an escalating procedure.
• Putting in place procedures for various initiatives including fire prevention, and accident investigations.
• Establishing a mechanism to ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
• Support in establishing and maintaining formal and informal relations and a network of contacts in the areas of intervention, including developing and updating a list of contacts and create a stakeholders’ map per area.
• Identifying risk areas and suggesting mitigation measures.
• Establishing security protocols for drivers / team members.
• Train Team members on above mentioned plans and protocols.
• Support and advise the management team in preparing Security Management plan and contingency planning including context analysis.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education degree: bachelor’s degree in communication, Politics, Risk or another related field
• A thorough and keen attention to detail
• Excellent concentration skills
• The ability to remain alert and aware of surroundings.
• An ability to remain patient and calm under pressure.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Reporting Skills
• Training or experience in crisis management; training in safety, fire and evacuation procedures; training in safety and disaster management or having served in security related agencies is a plus.

Reporting:

The security expert shall report to the program director.
