General objective of the job:
The Software Developer is responsible for using their knowledge of programming languages to design software programs. His duties are to determine the software needed, coding and testing software to ensure functionality and updating software programs to refine components like cybersecurity measures and data storage capacities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create a user friendly, easy to maintain, software program to facilitate the appointment booking system at the PHCCs’ centers.
- Testing and deploying the program.
- Developing technical documentation to guide the PHCC team on the use of the system and to inform potential future software developments.
- Training the PHCC designated team in charge of appointments booking at the PHCC
- Developing and integrating advanced monitoring tools to track platform performance, user activity, and system health.
- Ensuring seamless integration of new tools and features with the platform.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in web development and system optimization.
- Proficiency in Laravel, JavaScript, Python, PHP or a similar language.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, among others.
- Strong knowledge of database management such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
- Understanding of security best practices and data privacy laws.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of object-relational mapping frameworks.
Reporting
The software developer shall report to the project manager.
