GBV Case worker

Responsibilities: (in bullet points)

  •  Ensure the provision of clear intervention strategies, aligned with internal procedures and relevant National SOPs 
  • Ensure that all ongoing cases are provided with continuous evaluation, follow-up, and closure interviews 
  • Guarantee that all relevant forms and formats are updated and that confidential information is secured  
  • Plan in an efficient way all the daily, weekly and monthly interventions relevant to the ongoing cases and keep clear tacks of the steps followed and the content of the sessions 
  • Ensure that all home and/or institutional visits are set, that objectives are met, and that all relevant documents are updated   
  • Ensure that all external and internal referrals are set properly and that all relevant documents are updated 
  • Ensure all socio-medical interventions, individually and/or in groups, as determined by the intervention strategy, in any designated premises.  
  • Educational level: Evaluate and address all the needs of the beneficiaries in terms of education, technical trainings and/or psychosocial skills 
  • Community level: Work on relational and social anchoring 
  • Family level: Provide proper parental guidance and family mediation 
  • Medical level: refer to specialized services, Primary Health Care, or other relevant structures, provide continuous follow-up of the referrals 
  • Legal level: Ensure that proper legal guidance and/or referral is provided 
  • Coordinate effectively with the counselor and/or any other team member in order to provide the best services through relevant case management.
  • Coordinate effectively with the educators during activities in order to provide close observation and/or needed support to the cases.
  • Reports directly to the project Manager as per the internal organizational chart  
  • Apply the pair work system under the guidelines of the Protection manager and the SDC director when applicable
  • Make sure that all the knowledge and the project experience are delivered to MOSA colleagues.

 

External meetings and Capacity Building  

  • Attend all Peer to Peer meetings and provide accurate MoM  

Internal meetings 

  • Participate in a weekly meeting for a global monitoring of all cases with the project Manager and the psychologistt
  • Refer to the Project Manager during designated times for any questions relevant to specific interventions and/or cases 
  • Participate in a monthly meeting with the Project Manager 

 

Experience and technical competencies required: (include years of experience)

  • at least 2 years of experience
  • Good knowledge of Lebanese Institutions and policies, especially of the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education 
  • Good knowledge of CP and GBV National SOP’s  
  • Good knowledge of CP and GBV Minimum Standards 
  • Good knowledge of national and international NGO’s, as well as CP and GBV working groups, task forces and other relevant committees  
  • Experience in SDC or MoSa is a plus  
  • Excellent skills in time management and stress management 
  • Excellent knowledge of the Lebanese context and of the relationship between host and refugee communities 
  • Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools, as well as data management  
  • Good writing skills
