Teacher (2 Vacancies)

Main Duties:

• The teacher will attend all requested trainings and capacity building sessions under Can’t Wait to Learn Curriculum
• Attend and participate in weekly reporting and planning meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality education, referrals, and reporting requirements, are followed.
• Track attendance and follow up closely with coordinator on children who dropped out or are at the risk of dropping out and keep a record of the follow-up actions taken
• Identify and refer child protection and child safeguarding cases and threats following Akkarouna’s policies and mechanisms
• Collect the needed data of the students’ level
• Ensure all project data records including registration sheets and attendance sheet etc. are submitted to center manager/project MEAL on time
• Design lesson plans based on the support needed
• Track the students’ level based on the assessments
• Provide children with individualized support when they need
• Ensure safe, secure, simulative and inclusive classes to meet the abilities and the needs of the children (including children with disabilities)
• Respect and commit to Akkarouna’s internal policies and procedure including Child Safe Guarding, code of conduct …
• Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to all students in the class; to facilitate active learning experiences.
• Establishing and communicating clear objectives for all learning activities
• Preparing classroom for class activities or preparing instructional materials for remote teaching.
• Teaching according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students.
• Providing a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
• Identifying and selecting different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs.
• Observing and evaluating student's performance and development.
• Providing appropriate feedback on work.

Minimum requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in education or any related major with teaching Diploma
• At least two years’ experience in Basic literacy and Numeracy
• Capable of dealing with children with poor academic performance
•  Ability to work under pressure
