- Under take the detailed technical assessments of the housing units.
- Take accurate measurements inside the houses.
- Draw sketch drawing of the houses (when necessary) and illustrate the dimensions needed.
- Suggest the appropriate technical solutions inside the houses.
- Produce the BoQ draft of the housing unit.
- Seeks the team leader verification of the BoQ and ask for his technical advice when needed.
- Supervise and monitor the contractor’s work in the site.
- Ensure that the contractor’s work is compliant with the specification and the shelter standards.
- Ensure that the contractor is doing the finishing work in a high quality.
- Provide regular reports (daily, weekly and monthly as needed) to his/her seniors
- Generic responsibilities
- Monitor and report on the project activities and ensure compliance with plans and standards
- Mobilize communities and community leaders for the building materials, construction activities and maintenance of structures
- Suggest new methods and approaches in order to improve the quality of the activities
- Administrate payment requests for partners, contractors, suppliers, construction workers etc.

- Specific responsibilities
- Work with the Team Leader & Shelter Coordinator on the implementation of projects including beneficiary selection, mobilizing the refugee community, meeting with refugee and host communities, assessments, monitoring, voucher distribution, etc.
- Lead the team under the close supervision of the Team Leader.
- Assist the Team Leader in all communications with beneficiaries and relevant stakeholders.
- Perform registration and evaluation tasks in an efficient and professional manner.
- Carry them responsibly and communicates respectfully with home owners to give a clear and accurate picture of the households’ current and past situation.
- Explain the assessment and selection process well to beneficiaries who do not fall within the project criteria.
- Ensure the appropriate documentation is in order for beneficiary contracts and subsequent payments.
- Organize and manage beneficiary files and ensure that all necessary documentation is in place.
- Plan the daily and weekly activities of SFAs in relation to:
- Conducting assessments
- Creation of beneficiary lists
- Creation and maintenance of relevant databases
- Response to and follow up on referred cases
- Exit interviews
- Management of assigned case-loads, including keeping up-to-date records of numbers of families and individuals residing in shelters and their living conditions
- Provide aid and support to Akkarouna colleagues
