Al-Fayhaa Association is a Lebanese non-profit NGO aimed to develop and rehabilitate the community through educational programs, and cultural/social activities. Al-Fayhaa Association was founded in 1999 and was officially established on 8\10\2008 holding the registration number 1254 AD.
The Association has no political nor sectarian orientation; it only adopts the principle of neutrality and non-alignment of any of the partisan spectra maintaining the same distance from everyone. The Association commits through the implementation of its projects the principles of human rights, which includes responsibility and commitment to the rule of law and the empowerment and participation and integration, justice, equality and non-discrimination and a focus on children with special needs and learning difficulties.
Al-Fayhaa Association is currently executing a MEHE-approved and UNICEF-funded program: Retention-Support (RS) of At-Risk Boys and Girls Enrolled in Lebanese Public Education.
This project aims to provide homework and remedial support for struggling students in public schools across Lebanon. Students are provided two to three hours of support at the end of the school day and during summer empowering them to become independent learners and encouraging their school retention. The public school teachers involved in the project are trained and offered continued support throughout the program.
