Responbilities:
- Supervise and guide the PSS assistants and case workers and volunteers in all related programmatic activities.
- Support the team on the field with all related programmatic activities (Support the implementation of case management services and psychosocial activities for children and their families).
- Conduct field visits and spot check to ensure the implementation of PSS component and Qudwa, in addition to share feedbacks with the team in order to improve their skills.
- Make sure to participate in all training in order to share and deliver these training to the Team.
- Work on the capacity building of all the staff.
- Support in the drafting of the budget needed of each activity in the project.
- Follow up on filing all needed case management and PSS data .
- Make sure that all case management confidential documents are kept in a locked cabinet.
- Set weekly meetings with DRC to share updates, challenges, achievement and to seek support.
- Ensure that all spaces activities implemented accordingly to meet standards for safe spaces whether mobile or static
- Lead weekly team meetings to discuss challenges and successes faced in implementation and to follow up on the weekly work plans.
- Produce monthly reports in submitting internal and donor reports as per schedule (AIRT, IPT and narrative report, Cross referal sheets, case management data list, in addiiton to the MSC).
- Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and report on problems in the implementation of the program
- Monitor the progress and the budget of project targets against indicators on a weekly basis.
- Receive CP case management referrals from different agencies and local actors and provide feedback of actions taken
- Make sure that the CP cases are referred through RIMS platform and that the cases have received the needed services.
- Provide age and gender appropriate and specialized technical guidance to caseworkers. Train and coach all newly recruited protection assistant especially on case management process, the relevant SOPs and the data filing and storing procedures including the usage of the CPIMS.
- Remain abreast of SOPs and best practices at the field, on the national and global level. In addition, ensure all protection assistant are familiar, practice and adhere to International and national protection standards and SoP.
- Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by the Protection Manager.
Experience and technical competencies: (include years of experience)
- Bachelor of Social Science or relevant degree.
- At least 3 years of experience in humanitarian settings, specifically in Child Protection or GBV sectors
- Experience managing teams
- Ability to provide technical support, trainings and supervision of CP caseworkers
- Experience providing on the job coaching and mentoring and building capacity of staff
- Excellent knowledge of Child Protection and GBV minimum standards and PFA
- Excellent knowledge of psychosocial support basic principles and PSS key messages to vulnerable children and caregivers
- Excellent knowledge of basic facilitation skills
- Excellent knowledge of safe identification and referral principles
- Good knowledge of Child Protection case management
- Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)s
