Education Expert

Project Introduction:

As part of Al Fayhaa Association collaboration with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), an Early Childhood Education program will be implemented in Akkar Governorates that seeks to provide disadvantage children aged between 4 and 6 years old with critical pre-literacy, pre-numeracy and STEAM classes in child-friendly spaces. The project aims to enhance the knowledge and well-being of children through quality academic and recreational activities, preparing them for future enrolment/integration in formal classes.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Supports in the identification of educational needs of  students and facilitators
  • Supports implementation of the educational aspects of the project
  • Oversees and manages all educational field activities including assessment
  • Monitors the implementation and progress of the curriculum and ensures that activities implemented are in line with approved plans and agreed indicators.
  • Coordinates meetings with facilitators and co-facilitators
  • Assess ongoing needs for capacity building among facilitators
  • Collects data, compiles and updates information in the field and prepares minutes of meetings and progress reports as requested
  • Provides coaching/ classroom observations to teachers and facilitators

 

Job Requirements:

Academic Qualification

  • Master’s degree in the field of Education, Psychology, Social Science or any relevant field.
  • Teaching Diploma is a plus.

Professional Experience

  • Two to Three (2-3) years of related experience.
  • Experience in report writing.
  • Experience in modern teaching methods.
  • Experience in children psychology.
  • Experience in working with disadvantage children.
  • Experience in ECE Curricula/Trainings.
  • Good knowledge in classroom management, lesson planning and curricula development.

Skills

  • Spoken and written fluency in English /Arabic /French.
  • Good writing skills.
  • Leadership skills are a must.
  • Capacity to work in teams and flexibility to take on new tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word.
  • Dynamic leader with creative problem-solving skills, particularly in challenging situations.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong management skills

 

Others

  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to-detail.
  • Knowledge of contextual diversity of various areas of Akkar, Lebanon.
