Program Manager

Major Responsibilities:

  • Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Adapt and update relevant project management tools in a timely manner, based on contextual changes
  • Standardize operational and field implementation plans, strategies, and processes across field teams
  • Track progress against deliverables and address gaps systematically
  • Ensure timely and clear dissemination of information across field teams
  • Provide timely status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, challenges, and support needed.
  • Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Creating and managing long-term goals.
  • Developing a budget and operating plan for the program.
  • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services.
  • Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
  • Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance.
  • Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.

Professional Experience

  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, at the national or international levels, in managing small-scale and medium-scale projects.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory/managerial post is required.
  • Experience in report writing.
  • Experience in Non-Governmental Organizations is preferable.

Skills

  • Spoken and written fluency in English and Arabic. (French is a plus)
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Highly organized.
  • Capacity to work in teams and flexibility to take on new tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Dynamic leader with creative problem solving skills, particularly in challenging situations.
