Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation at school level and work closely with Education Field Manager
- Conducting daily follow up on the implementation of the programme’s activities in the schools, including monitoring students’ attendance and absenteeism, awareness raising, parents’ meetings, follow up with the counselors and teachers, supporting extracurricular clubs, forming PTA etc.
- Conduct community engagement sessions (when needed) in support to youth community mobilizers.
- Support the school staff in collecting all the needed data related to students and their performance: child registration, family assessment form and Pre/post tests and other information related to the project activities
- Follow up on children attendance at school level and ensure retention of children
- Follow up on establishment of school clubs and support school directors in implementing the different components of the programme.
- Monitor teacher qualifications and ensure that the staff hired meets the criteria developed and endorsed by MEHE
- Support the data entry volunteer/IM focal point per school in updating the database system and CLM with data and attendance.
- Support the school staff in the planning and the implementation of regular extracurricular activities
- Support the school staff in identifying caregivers to be engaged in the awareness program for parents and in organizing the sessions (orientation sessions at the beginning of the program and portfolio day at the end).
- Provide continuous communication and feedbacks to caregivers. In addition, when needed, organize ad-hoc sessions with caregivers as per the emergent needs of children aiming to respond to alarming behaviors.
- Ensure quality material is available for the programme, AFA and donor’s visibility.
- Any other task as assigned by the Education team serving the project overall.
- Respect all organizational policies related to Child Protection and PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), and ensure adherence to the highest standards of conduct.
- In case of any incident or concern, immediately report to the designated PSEA focal point in accordance with organizational procedures.
- Ensure that all interventions are in compliance with AFA strategies and policies.
Requirements:
- Technical / University degree in education, pedagogy, or related field.
- Experience in Education
- Knowledge of humanitarian principles and good knowledge of the region and local language
- Experience in conducting training, workshops, or community engagement activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups and promote inclusive values.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in working with refugee communities in Lebanon.
- Capability to establish with the persons and families a good and respectful contact to ensure the quality of implementation activities.
- Good communication and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel). Good knowledge of Kobo and Washington Group Survey is an asset.
- Skilled in report writing.
- Working experience in NGOs is a plus.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, English.
- Autonomy and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility, commitment, work ethics and team spirit.
