Background: Al Hadatha Association was founded through a national initiative led by youth. The main objective of this initiative was to 1) strengthen the role of various social groups; 2) provide opportunities that enable marginalized communities enjoy their social, humanitarian and developmental rights; 3) Develop the capacities of vulnerable groups and activate their potential in order to serve the Lebanese community on a national level.

Mission
Al Hadatha works on achieving social and cultural development and on combating poverty and marginalization in Akkar region and other parts of Lebanon, through the work with youth, women, children and municipalities.
The project is a partnership between the International Rescue Committee and Hadatha Association that aims to strengthen case management capacity for child protection within the Syria crisis emergency response in Lebanon and to increase psychosocial support for children and adolescents, including dedicated activities with adolescent girls.
Job Overview/Summary: The psychosocial support (PSS) assistant works in close coordination with the CP team and reports to the the Project Manager He/she is responsible to organize structured PSS activities in the Hadatha school, facilitate and co-facilitate training, support technically the teachers and/or volunteers who are conducting the PSS sessions . The PSS assistant as a frontline staff is responsible for safely identifying and referring children at risk to case workers as per Child protection policies and procedures.
Major Responsibilities:
Organize and deliver focused PSS activities in Hadatha school for children of different age groups
Ensure that children at risk are identified and safely referred in line with child protection case management protocols and procedures;
Ensure that supplies are prepared and organized prior to PSS sessions;
Coordinate closely with supply chain colleagues to procure needed items for PSS activities;
Maintain an immaculate filing system- documenting attendance and ensuring that children are regularly providing feedback on implemented PSS activities;
Coordinate closely with case management teams to ensure that children who require specialized support receive support and attention during PSS activities;
Facilitate and co-facilitate trainings in the communities and to staff, and volunteers on PSS and Child Protection
Provide technical support to the teachers and volunteers and when needed organize PSS activities in the community
Participate in the organization of events and awareness campaigns
Compile all the necessary M&E tools
Any other CP activity as required

Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of field teams; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to IRC management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for IRC programs
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs

Job Requirements:
Technical diploma or degree in social science, pedagogy, preferable
Experience in working with children and organizing activities
Working experience in NGO a plus
Experience in running Psychosocial program a plus
Experience in conducting trainings
Minimum of 3 years working experience
Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children
Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure, enjoying working in the field
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, English speaking is a plus
