Al Hadatha Association is a social non-governmental and non-political organization founded through a national initiative led by youth. The main objective of this initiative was to 1) strengthen the role of various social groups; 2) provide opportunities that enable marginalized communities enjoy their social, humanitarian and developmental rights; 3) develop the capacities of vulnerable groups and activate their potential in order to serve the Lebanese community on a national level. Al Hadatha works on achieving social and cultural development and on combatting poverty and marginalization in Akkar region and other parts of Lebanon, through the work with youth, women and children.
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. GBV CaseWorker:
Aim:
Providing case management and psychosocial support to women and girls and particularly gender-based violence survivors
Reporting lines
a) Reports to: DRC GBV /Protection capacity building Officer

Responsibilities:
Case management and psychosocial support
In compliance with best-practice and international standards in GBV response, provide direct psychosocial support for vulnerable women and girls and particularly GBV survivors. Case management services will include assessment of needs, development of an action plan for recovery, implementing the action plan and ensuring appropriate follow up and close the case when appropriate. The case management process should be implemented through a survivor-centered approach;
Provide age-appropriate counseling for vulnerable adolescent girls and children through the implementation of tools developed for caring for child survivors and in the best interest of the child.
Provide age-appropriate quality psychosocial support in safe spaces including emotional support group sessions and awareness sessions;
Grant implementation and reporting
File and store GBV data in the gender-based violence information management system(GBV IMS) in compliance with the information sharing protocol developed at the inter-agency level;
Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and 3-month work plans in a timely manner upon GBV /Protection capacity building Officer ’s validation;
Coordination and representation
Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers;
Contribute to the maintenance of an up-to-date service mapping of the service providers operating in the area and ensure that caseworkers are informed about the available services;
Receive referrals from different agencies, do action plan and appropriate response to each case;
Provide feedback of actions taken to DRC GBV /Protection capacity building Officer and other agencies when necessary;
Liaise with relevant stakeholders and advocacy to address gaps in GBV response services and referral protocols;
Others
Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by DRC GBV /Protection capacity building Officer.
Essential attributes:
a) Essential qualifications:
Bachelor/Degree in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field;
Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times;
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility.
Flexibility in working overtime when needed;
Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel);
Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well
b) Essential experience:
§ At least 2 years of experience in counseling survivors of gender-based violence or vulnerable women and girls;
