Project Manager

Al Hadatha Association was founded through a national initiative led by youth. The main objective of this initiative was to 1) strengthen the role of various social groups; 2) provide opportunities that enable marginalized communities enjoy their social, humanitarian and developmental rights; 3) Develop the capacities of vulnerable groups and activate their potential in order to serve the Lebanese community on a national level. Hadatha Association defined her vision and mission as following:   Vision We endeavor for a developed society with no gender and belief discrimination and where individuals and groups are aware of their rights and responsibilities. A society where justice and equal opportunities for all citizens prevail and the dream of better tomorrow is possible.   Mission Al Hadatha works on achieving social and cultural development and on combatting poverty and marginalization in Akkar region and other parts of Lebanon, through the work with youth, women, children and municipalities.   The project is a partnership between the International Rescue Committee and Hadatha Association that aims to strengthen case management capacity for child protection within the Syria crisis emergency response in Lebanon and to increase psychosocial support for children and adolescents, including dedicated activities with adolescent girls.   Job Overview/Summary:  The project manager is responsible for the overall  implementation of the project and will be responsible for oversight of the day-to-day implementation of the Psycho Social Support (PSS) and Case Management (CM) program in the Akkar region. S/he will provide technical support to the team and lead close coordination with other service providers and humanitarian actors in the region to ensure program quality and the achievement of program targets.  S/he will also be responsible for maintaining coordinated communication with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) for implementation of the project.   Program:   ·Participate in relevant working group meetings on a monthly basis; ·Remain abreast of services available for target population and ensure teams are informed and up to date on processes to follow to access services; ·Coordinate the project team and ensure that its work is according to guideline and standards ·Supervise child protection case workers, PSS assistant to ensure adherence to Child Protection Minimum Standards, Practical Guidance/National SoP’s; ·Ensure that the logistical material and transportation are available for the appropriate running of activities ·Support, supervise and monitor the activities of the teachers; ·Ensure a standardized approach across the different communities where implementing ? activities? ; ·Ensure regular monitoring and on site coach visits to ensure program standards; ·Provide technical support to the team in the delivery of the activities as per project proposal and budget ·Highlight and communication challenges in program implementation with IRC counterparts supporting program implementation;; ·Participate in the development of best practices and lessons learned ·Actively participate in the trainings assigned to him/her;   Monitoring & Reporting Develop weekly and monthly plan for all the project staff and their work in the field; Prepare a spending plan in line with planned activities at the onset of the program planning period; Fill observations checklists whenever conducting field visits Compile a weekly report of activities and support in the start up of relevant M & E systems;   Staff Management and Development Coach, train, and mentor staff with the aim of strengthening their technical capacity, exchanging knowledge within the team and providing professional development guidance Supervise and mentor direct-report staff, including communicating clear expectations and providing regular and timely performance feedback. Promote and monitor staff care and well-being; approve and manage all leave requests to ensure adequate coverage.   Other ·Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of field teams; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for the project Ensure activities are done in accordance with IRC logistics policy and in a timely manner to ensure the successful implementation of programs; Ensure that all relevant financial documentation is completed accurately in coordination with the HR/finance consultant Liaise and collaborate with other PSS and CM actors when required Maintain positive coordination and relationships with partner and IRC staff ·Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop the project   Professional Standards All IRC staff and staff from partner organisations are required to adhere to THE IRC Way Standards for Professional Conduct and the IRC country employment policies. All staff affiliated with the IRC through partnerships are responsible for adhering to the Child Safeguarding policy;   Key Working Relationships:   Position Reports to:  Hadatha General Manager Other Internal and/or external contacts: Internal: all staff members External: other NGOs specifically IRC   Job Requirements: University degree in social science, social work or relevant field 3 years work experience minimum Experience in working with children and organizing activities Experience in community mobilization Experience in working in emergencies preferable Experience in working in a cross cultural environment preferable   Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure, enjoying working in the field Ability to develop partnerships, network and attend coordination meeting Good communication skills Fluency in writing and typing in Arabic and English mandatory Proficient in Word and excel   Working Environment:  Office work and field trips
