MERA Developer For Sustainable Electronic EPI Registry (2 Vacancies)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Development of the caregiver’s application on EPI and child, adolescent and maternal (PLW) health and nutrition referral pathway and key messages
  2. Add new functionalities to the Service provider application, ex:
  3. Dispensaries reports: allow the users to send the monthly report using the application, this module will replace the current reporting mechanism (Hard copies)
  4. Dispensaries Profile: the dispensary will be able to edit its profile (Contact, location, available services, physician schedule…)
  5. Help desk module: this module will allow the users to contact the MERA officer directly, all bugs, inquiries, solutions will be documented.
  6. Develop in MERA the covid-19 screening tool that already exists in PHENICS and present all data in one dashboard.
  7. Add new functionalities based on the EPI new activities
  8. Maintenance and editing of the current application, including the enhancement of the app for community/frontline workers – allowing MNCAH referral. Optimize child tracking and follow-up for EPI
  9. Technical monitoring of the implementation of the users’ application 
  10. Integrate the data flow between application and the platform 
  11. Support the team leader on building the dashboards.
  12. Support in linking the MERA at EPI points (dispensaries, borders, UNHCR vaccination sites and PHCCs, and MoPH Qadaa offices) with MoPH central warehouse to ensure vaccine stock management from warehouse up till last point of consumption. MERA expansion and development are necessary to support the monitoring of the vaccines stock and consumption within vaccine provision health facility level and to be linked to WHO implementation of bar-coding, whereby vaccines will also be bar-coded and hence easier to monitor throughout the whole supply chain. Also, MERA provides needed electronic EPI registry dataset, by the time WHO with MoPH design and pilot an electronic health record (EMR).
  13. Support in needed enhancement in the application for any additional requirement (critical for emergency response or other context – such as national immunization campaign or COVID-19 response).

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Web Development, or a related field.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least two years direct experience in programming, preferably in mobile development,
  • Experience in building webpages and web application development
  • Experience in building android mobile applications
  • Knowledge and competency in information systems
  • Preferable demonstrated portfolio of released application on App store and android market
  • Experience with third party libraries and APIs
  • Familiarity with OOP design principles
  • Knowledge in the following technologies and/or languages:
    • c#
    • android studio
    • vb.net
    •  java
    • Team Foundation Server,
    • MVC4
    • JQuery
    • JavaScript
    • Swift
