ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate and work with the Executive Director in the preparation of the detailed implementation, monitoring and spending plan of the project activities.
- Coordinate with local government authorities and other relevant stakeholders.
- Manage the successful implementation of the MNCAH; ensuring that project staff are following work plans, that activities are on schedule, and that program deliverables are completed as promised.
- Take account of gender, protection and other important cross-cutting concerns in activities design, implementation, and reporting; make sure that project activities are carried out in a way that reflects the needs of specific groups and individuals.
- Undertake regular and frequent supportive field visits, monitor the physical and financial implementation progress against the plan and propose corrective measures as required to ensure planned activities are implemented in line with relevant standards, codes of conduct, and humanitarian principles.
- Ensure that appropriate community or local government institutions are in place and community capacity is built up to put in practice the Completed Public Health related local development plans.
- Work closely with local partners (if any);
- Track and manage the project budget at field office level including preparation of monthly projection, reviews and/or amendments (if any).
- Ensure that communities are informed about our programs and what we do, are aware of their entitlements, are comfortable to give feedback and that feedback is used to improve the quality of our programs;
- Ensure that project activities and team effort is primarily seeking the best interest of targeted communities.
- Ensure proper tracking and documentation of the project activities, lessons learned or any relevant information related to the covered areas.
- Maintain written, clear and relevant internal communication with Execuritve Director and field teams.
- Prepare and share monthly report to the Executive Director to highlight the progress and challenges in implementation of activities. Provide input in the preparation of success stories and donor reports.
Team Management
- Provide technical and managerial support to the project team; ensure that the project staff in subordinate staff has clear understanding of the objectives of the project; the project activities, timeline and budget limit; their specific role and responsibilities in achieving those objectives and their position/relation within the team.
Representation and Coordination
- Represent Al Midan at local coordination meetings.
- Liaise with local officials including the Local Authorities, Health structures, to ensure support for and acceptance of Al Midan projects in the area;
- Develop and maintain working relationships and coordinate with relevant stakeholders;
- Closely coordinate and work with operation team in timely procurement of the project goods or services; HR in staff recruitment and staff performance management and with Finance Unit in budget projection;
- Ensure all activities are gender sensitive;
- Contribute to monthly reports and other reports to meet donor and internal requirements;
- Participate in internal office coordination and planning meetings and workshops;
- Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Al Midan NGO and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission;
- Other assigned tasks, as necessary.
