ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Receive all referred children for vaccination at the PHC.
- Document all data regarding vaccinated children on forms to be reported to Al Midan and on specific MoPH system used at PHC level.
- Vaccinate all children aged between 0 and 18 years old.
- Coordinate with PHC management team to ensure the availability of all vaccines.
- Document all vaccines given to children on their respective vaccine calendar.
- Follow the national immunization calendar and have in depth knowledge regarding all vaccines.
- Explain to caregivers the importance of each vaccine and the side effects that might occur.
EDUCATION
BA/S or equivalent in nursing, midwifery, or social science.
Recognized nursing/midwifery qualification (plus inscription to the national register of nurses or midwives’ order of Lebanon).
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- At least two years of progressive experience and proven competence in working in Health and Prevention and/or community-based intervention;
- Experience working with local communities;
- Positive, respectful attitude, and collaborative approach to problem solving;
- Strong understanding of relevant cross-cultural issues and ability to work with refugee and host community populations;
- Ability and interest to work with a multi-ethnic team in a culturally appropriate manner;
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to the field;
- Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic (Arabic is strongly required).
