The Field Psychologist will conduct home visits to provide psychological support for residents affected by Beirut Blast. S/he will provide sessions, and refer cases in need of mental health services.

DUTIES:

Conduct home visits to provide individual psychological support for children and adults affected by Beirut Blast

Provide PSS sessions for children and adults according to a specific curriculum, and following the instructions of the Project Manager

Refer cases in need of mental health specialized services to PHCC

Assess the needs of the beneficiaries (cognitive, behavioral and emotional level)

Elaborate a clear care plan in relevance to the need assessment

Discuss and share the care plans with the multidisciplinary teams in order to ensure the provision of a comprehensive holistic care plan, and highlight relevant recommendations

Elaborate the care plan with a logical and consistent timeframe that includes estimated dates for case evaluation, closure, and post support check-up

Provide individual psychological support and when possible, structured therapy settings.

Provide proper internal and external referral, with systematic coordination with service providers

Use relevant psychological tests and assessment instruments when relevant to the need of the beneficiary and the expertise of the psychologist

Maintain proper documentation of mental health services provided as per the policies of the Health department

Maintain irreproachable levels of confidentiality

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

License to practice from the Ministry of Public Health. Exceptions can be made for professionals who will finalize their Licensing on the same year of signing their professional contract.

Specialized approach in at least one of the following: Psychodynamics, Systemic approach, CBT, EMDR, Focused Therapy. The psychologist should have been trained and supervised in any of the following approach and able to provide references. Exceptions can be made for the professionals who are currently under training and supervision.
