Project Communication Officer

Key responsibilities

- Set up the communication plan of the project following donor guidelines and link it to partners guidelines

- Bring together and make available content, resources and background information on the relevant programme priorities.

- Support in writing, editing and overseeing the production of publications, including newsletters, reports, posts, etc.

- Assist in coordinating communication activities and events of projects developed and implemented by Project partners

- Assist in conducting awareness-raising campaigns, events, information dissemination workshops

- Participate in donor visits for showcasing project progress and achievements

- Take lead in preparation and dissemination of communication and marketing materials

- Promote media coverage of Project partners through production of press releases, media clips, etc.

- Support development and maintenance of website and social media platforms related to the project

- Identify project results and contribute to the programme capitalization strategy.

 - Master’s degree in communication, public relation or similar filed. (A Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience will be considered)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in similar role
- Strong track record of past performance in positions of leadership with ability to motivate and generate respect and trust from staff and external stakeholders

Educational qualifications/ experience

- Only candidates with relevant experience will be considered
- Evaluation of qualified candidates will include an assessment exercise
