JOB PURPOSE The Lebanon Senior Investment Officer is in charge of supporting the Lebanon Country Director in growing and managing the portfolio of investments as well as fundraising. The Senior Investment Officer will take full ownership and accountability of the end-to-end investment cycle for 4-5 investees from the total portfolio and the corresponding development of these social enterprises. The contribution of the Senior Investment Officer will help Alfanar grow and contribute to the social impact and financial sustainability of its investees. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Senior Investment Officer’s duties and responsibilities include the following: Investment Management Contribute to the development of Alfanar Lebanon’s investment strategy and to growing the portfolio of investees, in close coordination with the Country Director Manage the entire investment cycle of 4-5 investees including: Due diligence on investment candidates Designing the pilot year and long-term investments Capacity-building via Alfanar’s formal 10-module training program (ASSET) Coaching & introducing investees to technical experts and mentors Monitoring & evaluation Data assurance Grow Alfanar’s network of technical experts and mentors  Fundraising Support the Lebanon Country Director in reaching income targets Organise site visits for donors to increase exposure to our investees Identify and cultivate fundraising leads in coordination with the Lebanon Country Director and the Global Fundraising Director Contribute to pitching and proposal-writing Alfanar Representation Represent Alfanar in events and with eco-system players, partners and donors to raise the profile of Alfanar and of venture philanthropy in Lebanon and beyond QUALIFICATIONS Experience in international development, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, capacity-building and consulting / coaching preferred; Proven skills in critical thinking, assessment and analysis; Self-motivated, autonomous and pro-active personality, able to work in a small team and in a fast-paced environment; Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships including partnerships with eco-system players; Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time; Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Fluent in English and Arabic.
