JOB PURPOSE:
Ensure the operational functioning of the Mobile Care Team according to Samusocial methodology (charter, code of professional ethics, technical guidelines), by developing and managing the activities specified by the intervention strategy, and by supervising professionals in the field. The coordinator of the Mobile Care Team contributes, with the project staff, to the development of Amel’s Samusocial service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibility n°1: Organize the intervention of the mobile care team
- Map the area of intervention, and updating it according to the needs identified in the field
- Define priorities for intervention, depending on the level of vulnerability of beneficiaries
- Implement statistical monitoring tools including the supervision of the reporting in the worksheets assessment, in the accompanying forms (social, medical)
- Verify the implementation of the confidentiality policy, relevant to the local context and according to the security situation
- Report as per the additional tools, if requested by Amel and SSI
- Verify that all working tools of the Mobile Care Team are operational (vehicle, material…) and transmits to the Project Coordinator the requests for maintenance, repairs and supply
- Ensure safety rules and procedures are properly implemented by the Mobile Care Team during interventions; alert on risks and safety incidents reported by the team and particularly the driver; participate to the adaptation of the safety strategy.
Responsibility n°2: Lead the professionals of the mobile team
- Facilitate team meetings to address the individual situations of beneficiaries, while addressing operational issues
- Report, on a weekly basis, through the report template, on the activities implemented during the week and share this document with the Project Coordinator and the SSI Country Representative
- Report, on a monthly basis, through the report template, on the activities implemented during the month, including analytical inputs, and share this document with the Project Coordinator, the SSI Country Representative and eventually an SSI technical referent
- Define on a weekly basis the working schedule
- Define on a daily basis the sites covered / follow up - referral visits / other tasks to be performed.
- Organize one daily meeting (with the professionals) and one weekly meeting (with the professionals, the Project Coordinator and SSI Country Representative) with the professionals to define the two above mentioned points.
- Attend regular coordination meetings with Amel HQ staff (including the Project Coordinator), SSI Country representative and, if relevant, SSI technical staff.
- Contribute to needs assessments through the provision of quantitative / qualitative analysis.
- Identify the team’s needs in terms of capacity building and informs the Project Coordinator and SSI Country Representative
- Inform the Project Coordinator and SSI Country Representative regarding any professional misconduct and participates in the evaluation process of the Mobile Care Team staff
Responsibility 3: Partnerships with external stakeholders
- Ensure adequate care and coordination with external partners in case of individual referrals
- Contribute with the Project Coordinator to the development of the operational network and attend meetings with operational partners
COORDINATION:
The Coordinator of the Mobile Team of assistance liaises, for all issues, to the Project Coordinator and the SSI Country Representative.
Previous experience in the humanitarian field is a must.
