Facilitator - Part Time

Position Summary

The Facilitator will design and deliver psychosocial support (PSS) and awareness-raising activities for vulnerable individuals and caregivers, including women, men, and youth. The role aims to promote psychosocial well-being, resilience, and protection awareness within safe and inclusive community spaces.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Activity Planning and Implementation

  • Design and implement participatory PSS, awareness, and life-skills activities tailored to participants’ needs, interests, and capacities.
  • Facilitate group discussions and sessions that strengthen resilience, coping mechanisms, and community protection practices.
  • Ensure inclusiveness and sensitivity to gender, age, and disability in all activities.
  • Create a safe, respectful, and engaging space for participants to interact and express themselves freely.
  • Identify and refer vulnerable individuals or protection concerns to the Social Worker or Case Worker following established referral pathways.

 

Coordination and Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Social Worker, Case Worker, and other team members to plan and implement activities in centers or community locations.
  • Contribute to regular team meetings, coordination efforts, and event organization.
  • Maintain good communication and collaboration with other program staff and stakeholders.

 

Monitoring, Reporting, and Learning

  • Use M&E tools (attendance, evaluation, and assessment forms) to monitor progress and participation.
  • Prepare weekly activity plans and submit regular reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Support monthly narrative reports and documentation efforts.
  • Participate in relevant internal and external trainings to strengthen facilitation and protection skills.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or another relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in humanitarian work, preferably within Protection programs.
  • Strong understanding of protection principles, including confidentiality, safety, and non-discrimination.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
  • Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
  • Commitment to humanitarian values, teamwork, and cultural sensitivity.
