Field Coordinator For South Lebanon

ASSIGNMENT The Field Coordinator is based in South Lebanon 4 days per week with frequent field visits and in Amel Headquarters (Mussaitbeh, Beirut) 1 day per week. He/She works under the direct supervision of the Emergency and the Program Coordinators. He/She coordinates and reports on the implementation of the Syrian refugees Emergency Response activities in AMEL centers of South Lebanon. He/She contributes to the smooth implementation of health activities in close coordination with the Medical Coordinators and with other agencies and local authorities. TASKS AND DUTIES Task #1/ Support the Centers in the field in the organization of activities - Assess the needs and priorities of the targeted beneficiaries in coordination with the local staff and with the Medical Coordinators - Assess needs for supplies and materials to conduct the activities, prepare list of requirements and allocate and arrange space for the different activities - Ensure smooth implementation of health activities in AMEL centers of South Lebanon according to AMEL’s strategy and to the projects objectives - Support and advice the Heads of centers in the organization of activities for the targeted population of AMEL in South Lebanon.   Task #2/ Meetings/Trainings - Attend weekly interagency coordination meetings in coordination with UNHCR and relevant partners in South Lebanon; - Attend any relevant training organized by partners in South Lebanon; - Develop and maintain a good working relation with the local authorities.   Task #3/ Monitoring and reporting - Monitor daily the implementation of the different activities according to AMEL's strategy - Conduct regular field visits to the targeted centers and manage operational issues within these centers - Prepare and share with the Emergency Team Weekly Field reports - Support and advice the center’s staff in their preparation and submission of their weekly report - Contribute to the project’s Technical and Financial Reporting - Report to the Emergency and Program Coordinators any problems in the implementation of the activities; - Ensure the achievements of expected results of the activities according to the timeline and the budget established by the Emergency and Program Coordinators.   Other duties - Mobilize community support and participation in the various community based activities; - Ensure coordination between the centers of AMEL in South Lebanon (Tyre, Bazourieh, Khiam, Halta and Fardis) in the frame of the implementation of the Syrian refugees Emergency Response. - Perform other duties as may be assigned.
