Description:
Amel Field Coordinator will be in charge to mobilizing the material and financial resources required to run the programs properly and supervise their management. You will coordinate teams on site and be responsible for their safety. He/she is responsible for ensuring that his/her team complies with all security and safety regulations. Lastly, the Field Coordinator is responsible for the immediate management of any security incidents that might occur in the area where you are working.
This position is only open to applicants who have already had SEVERAL different field experiences, and who possess management and leadership skills, as well as a good overview and understanding of the “Support” and “Programs” issues.
The Field Coordinator should have a valid driving license and use her/his own car, for the field visits.
Task and responsibilities:
- Manage the daily project activities of the base
- Facilitate the work of the local team on various levels
- Summarize, evaluate and update on a regular basis the programs (evaluation of work carried out by international staff, local partners) in accordance with the established planning schedules
- Maintain regular contact with local working partners
- Supervise the Security and Logistics Manager in daily security follow-up
- Analyze how the situation develops; liaise with other organizations on security and, with the general coordinator, determine any changes to the security plan and security levels.
- Be responsible for the application, compliance and regular updating of the security plan in place both by the local team as by visiting expats.
- Contribute to the monthly activities report
- Write interim and final reports for financial backers.
- Be in charge of the monitoring of existing programs
- Supervise, facilitate and support the local team as well as to act as a main liaison point between the offices.
- To monitor the bottlenecks, problems, unexpected deviations and possible delays constantly and propose revisions in the action plan if necessary
- To use the project budget properly for the project activities and propose revision in the project budget and action plan if necessary
- To mobilize the necessary work force to ensure that all project results are achieved at high quality
- Follow up frequently on project developments and progress to ensure compliance and proper implementation of activities.
- Conduct regular field visits to Field offices to Monitor the project progress and performance and Provide site visits and status reports on regular basis.
- Ensure quality implementation of project through regular visits to the training centers.
- Contribute in ongoing field assessments and data collection as required.
