The project
The primary aim of the project is to support children's education, helping them catch up on missed learning objectives during the academic year. Given the challenging circumstances they face, these activities are essential for securing their future.
Task #1: Supervision
Coordinating with the Education coordinators and the team members to design the Schedule of Activities and its adaptation over the project’s duration
Ensuring the smooth implementation of the project's activities according to the planned timeline of the project and the Schedule of Activities designed collectively
Being in charge of the project team’s coordination (around 8 team members) with daily communication and weekly meetings
Taking initiatives for improving practices among the team members with the support of the coordinators and other AMEL’s sectors (Child Protection, Mental Health, etc.)
Organizing Training of Trainers in collaboration with the coordinators as per the projects’ timeline
Supervising the logistic aspects of the project, including the completion of monthly inventories, sending purchase requests, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders for the tents’ rehabilitation/purchase
Task #2 Outreach activities
Outreaching beneficiaries for the projects’ activities. The Field Officer has direct communication with the families and explains in detail the goals, activities, and requirements for their participation in the project in close coordination with the Social worker
Sharing the children’s achievements with their parents to increase motivation and build trustful relationships with the community members with the support of the Social worker
Task #3– Referral activities
Ensuring smooth follow-up for internal referrals
Following up on cases referred internally by the team members and to other services provided by Amel
Providing the team members with necessary information about the case’s follow-up to adapt their practices if necessary
Ensuring smooth external referral pathways
Developing AMEL’s network in the area to increase opportunities for external referrals
Creating a local mapping of the service providers in the area;
Ensuring a smooth referral process with external actors (provision of information, follow-up with beneficiaries, etc.)
Task #4 Coordination
Coordinating with all team members of MEU to ensure that the Child Protection Protocol is followed and that the PSS monthly plan is shared and completed
Coordinating with the centers’ staff (Health, Protection, etc.) to refer cases / to improve internal practices (experience sharing)
Coordinating internally with AMEL’s sectors, particularly in the community center of Bekaa (Health, Protection, etc.) and remaining informed about the services provided by Amel Association International in the area
Developing AMEL’s network with relevant stakeholders in the area and encouraging coordination with multiple sectors if necessary to complement the services provided by Amel (including schools, vocational services providers, municipalities, SDCs, etc.);
Coordinating with the Education Sectors’ stakeholders on the regional level under the supervision of the coordinators (Partners’ meetings, regular meetings/phone calls with education NGOs, etc.);
Facilitating the smooth running of the internal/external referral pathways for the identified children and community members
Task #5 Monitoring and Evaluation
Ensuring the smooth implementation of the Monitoring and evaluation plan for the project. The M&E framework is designed collectively at the beginning of the project according to the indicators of the logical framework of the project. The Field Officer is in charge of ensuring the supervision for data collection whether for quantitative information (attendance, education performance, outreach, etc.) or squalitative information (Focus Group discussion, base/end line questionnaire, etc.)
Ensuring the Reporting every week of the activities, achievements, and challenges. The Field Officer is requested to share any relevant information that might inform the project’s implementation but also Amel’s strategy
Submitting weekly reports to the coordinators
Submitting other narrative reports such as Focus Group Discussion results / community events reports / distribution reports, etc.
Working hours:
The Field Officer will work 5 to 6 days per week (Monday – Saturday) with an average of 45 weekly working hours (to be defined according to the Schedule of Activities).
