Focal Point - TLS

Project Background:

The Temporary Learning Spaces (TLS) initiative aims to provide safe, structured, and inclusive early learning opportunities for children affected by crises and vulnerabilities.

Purpose:

The Field Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day field-level implementation, monitoring, and coordination of TLS activities across assigned centers. The role ensures timely reporting, activity quality, and strong communication with communities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate field-level implementation of TLS components in collaboration with center staff.
  • Ensure children’s attendance, registration, and referrals are documented properly.
  • Monitor activities to ensure alignment with program objectives and quality standards.
  • Report field challenges and propose solutions to the supervisor.
  • Assist in community outreach and mobilization.
  • Ensure child safeguarding and safe programming standards are followed.
  • Document success stories, challenges, and community feedback.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Education, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in field coordination or community-based programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with child protection and education programming is an asset.
