GBV Case Worker - Kamed Al Louz

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized GBV case management services, including assessment, action planning, referral, follow-up, and case closure, in line with National GBV SOPs and guiding principles (confidentiality, safety, respect, and non-discrimination)
  • Delivered tailored psychosocial support sessions to survivors at risk in safe spaces or during outreach activities
  • Accurately complete the ECA forms
  • Accurately complete PCAP forms using the Kobo system
  • Ensure that case files and data are accurately documented, safely stored, and handled confidentially in compliance with data protection standards
  • Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools, as well as the internal reporting documents
  • Participate in regular supervisory meetings to ensure compliance with standards of care and effective case management practices.
  • Identify and flag the need for case conferences based on assessed needs with support from the GBV Officer, while ensuring a survivor-centered approach.
  • Collaborate closely with the Child Protection team when GBV cases involve child survivors, particularly in conducting best interest assessments.
  • Participate in regular case reviews and ensure all interventions are guided by the survivor’s best interest and informed consent.
  • Flag high-risk or urgent cases requiring legal, medical, or specialized intervention to the GBV and PSS Officer, along with the BMLS Case Management Supervisor.
  • Perform any other duties related to the scope of the role as assigned by the GBV Case Management Officer or Project Coordinator.

Coordination and Collaboration

  • Work closely with the GBV and PSS Officer, BMLS Case Management Supervisor, and field coordinator to ensure a coordinated, survivor-centered response.
  • Maintain updated service and mapping of GBV and protection actors in the area of operation.
  • Contribute to strengthening referral pathways and report any service gaps or challenges to the officer or project coordinator.
  • Attend internal meetings, trainings, and inter-agency coordination events as required.

Monitoring, Reporting, and Compliance

  • Apply appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools across all GBV project activities to ensure high-quality and effective implementation.
  • Ensure full compliance with the National GBV Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including mandatory reporting requirements and inter-agency guidelines.
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit accurate and timely reports and documentation in accordance with organizational and donor requirements.

Capacity Building and Other Duties

  • Engage in ongoing supervision, mentoring, and capacity-building initiatives to strengthen professional skills and performance.
  • Complete all mandatory training activities/programs, both online and in person.
  • Undertake additional tasks relevant to the role as assigned by the GBV and PSS Officer or Field Coordinator.
  • Provide support to team members as required and foster a positive, cooperative, and respectful team environment.

 Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in GBV case management within NGOs or humanitarian settings.
  • Strong knowledge of GBV core concepts, case management standards, and psychosocial support approaches in humanitarian contexts.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken)
