Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Community Health Program Manager, the Mobile Clinic Doctor will
work closely with the Public Health Team. The Mobile Clinic Doctor is responsible for, but not limited
to, providing healthcare services at mobile clinics in our partner communities, assisting in the
planning and implementation of mobile clinics, and monitoring and evaluation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Provide healthcare at the primary healthcare center.
● Participate in all aspects of healthcare at the PHCC including, but not limited to, taking vitals, prescribing medications, scheduling follows up appointments, and providing healthcare training on various public health topics.
● determine the supplies and materials needed healthcare at mobile clinics, and should inform the nurse to prepare the medications’ request from Amel HQ.
● Work with Operations and Public Health teams to procure the supplies/materials in a timely manner.
● Evaluate healthcare at mobile clinics through Monitoring and Evaluation and reporting to the field coordinator on the situation.
● Provide consultations for all patients attending mobile clinic with appropriate investigations, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses.
● Prescribe appropriate medications as per guidelines, ensuring patients understand instructions for dose and correct use.
● Identify all patients requiring emergency care, stabilize condition and refer according to clinic protocols.
● Treat all patients and their relatives with respect and dignity.
● Maintain confidentiality for all patients.
● Monitor the attendance of the staff and ensure fulfilling the working hours in the field.
● Liaise with the MMU staff the annual leaves.
● The possibility of changing sites based on the community needs.
● Ensure the proper operation of the MMU bus by liaising with the driver and report the needs to the field finance officer to purchase the needed parts.
EDUCATION DEGREE AND COMPETENCE DETAILS:
● Specialist in General Medicine, Family Medicine
● At least one year of post-qualification work experience in a relevant field.
● Excellent administration, organization, planning and time management skills.
● Experience as a clinical team leader.
● Ability to work within hostile environments and deal with conflict.
● Excellent communication skills, collaboration and teamwork.
● Computer literacy with demonstrated experience in utilization of databases and Microsoft Office.
● Experience in public health.
