Amel Association is a non-governmental organization, recognized as a public utility by presidential decree 5832 in 1994. Since 2001, Amel has had special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC).
As a non-profit, non-sectarian organization that supports the most underprivileged populations in Lebanon, Amel Association International is looking to hire a junior researcher in charge of monitoring and analyzing the socio-economic deteriorations in Lebanon and how it is impacting the Lebanese and non-Lebanese population.
Under the supervision of the director of the Amel House for Human Rights, the junior researcher will design a specific methodology to consolidate his/her monitoring activities, provide analytical contributions and support the different reports and policy briefs that will be issued under this project.
The junior researcher will also be required to coordinate with the NGO’s different departments and centers in various regions in Lebanon to manage data collection through both desk work and many field trips for interviews.
Contract: Full-time; possible part-time with minimum of 25 hours a week
