M & E Officer

The M&E Officer will work in cooperation with the Medical Unit and the Program, Project and Partnerships Coordinator

He/She will handle the below responsibilities:

1)    Ensuring data collection using Amel and partners (M&E) tools by performing regular field visits to the primary health care centres (PHCCs).

2)    Guaranteeing timely and accurate information.

3)    Collecting the needed data in the PHCC and among partners.

4)    Producing written reports on a weekly basis: field visit reports, weekly facilities check list, etc.

5)    Participating in the formulation of data collection forms and monitoring templates, exit and satisfaction surveys, focus group discussions and individual interviews with beneficiaries of services.

6)    Ensuring that the staffs are applying  the criteria of  the ongoing Researches at the HQ and PHCs

7)    Participating in the analysis of data collected.

8)    Participating in regular meetings with the rest of the team to provide updates on data gathering progress, and to receive guidance from the Medical Unit.

9)    Reporting on indicators defined by the Medical Unit;

10)  Training and Coaching the data entry officers in the PHCCs and other relevant staff on M&E

11)   Coaching and Ensuring to apply the standards of the MOPH/ Canadian accreditation  by the staffs in all PHCs

12)  Other duties as assigned.

 

SKILLS

1)    Experience or background in public health, health information management or a related discipline

2)    Experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection including survey design, implementation and analysis

3)    Good command of Microsoft Word and Excel is mandatory; competence in EPI-info and SPSS will be an asset

4)    Ability to seek, collect, and critically analyse data and information needed to achieve the tasks

5)    Professional proficiency in Arabic and English

6)    Good communication skills (oral and written)

7)    Experience working with NGOs (Asset)

8)    Ability to cope with difficult security context

9)    Ability to travel frequently during working hours to pay field visits

10)  Excellence in organizing, planning and prioritizing tasks

11)  Ability to work with a team as well as to work independently

12)  Clear commitment to the project thematic
