Marketing Advisor

  Amel Association is a non-governmental organization established in 1979. Through its 23 centers across Lebanon, Amel Association provides access to health care services and implements development programs targeting underprivileged populations, regardless of their nationality or political and religious affiliations. Amel Association also aims to strengthen the culture of rights among citizens, refugees and migrants and promote access to their rights and their involvement in public life.   AMEL is recruiting a Marketing Advisor for a project aiming at Promoting Access of Rural and Refugee Women to the Labor Market and Livelihood Opportunities.   The objective of this position is to conduct and develop tailored marketing strategies that help drive forward women trade activity, implement these strategies with a continuous involvement of women, lead and build capacities.       Assignment:   The Marketing Advisor will be based in Beirut with field visit to South Lebanon and Beirut Southern Suburb. He/She will report to the Program Coordinator and work closely with the head of centers, Amel team in the headquarters and Amel administration.  Mission To conduct a market study including : Analyze market and consumer data and make recommendations to management Evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan alterations as needed Research markets to identify opportunities for events Develop recommendations based on result Build capacity of producer women, including : Assess the skills in terms of marketing of a group of rural producer women and of refugee producer women Design and implement content of a marketing training adapted to their skills Involve the women in designing of marketing strategy and implementation of marketing strategy in their cooperatives/firms/activities To develop, support and monitor an inclusive marketing strategy, including : Participate to the preparation of Marketing strategies, Online marketing and brand activity Work closely with PC to devise and implement strategic media, PR and marketing plans, including competitor analysis Implement new product launches and strive to maintain growth on pillar products Execute the local adaptation of advertising creative material Propose and implement promotional and trade marketing plan for product(s) Budget management. To deliver all marketing activity within the agreed budget Help in the negotiation of contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies Build key client relationships, delivering integrated online/offline marketing campaigns with key retailers Interact effectively with other departments to support marketing objectives Work closely with packaging and labeling designer(s)   Requirements University Graduate holding an MBA degree in Marketing. Min7 years of relevant experience; Knowledge in-depth of Handcraft, soap and organic product is a plus Previous experience in NGO is preferable Knowledge of local trade dynamics and environment Ability to think creatively Have knowledge of a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts Have excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills Have a strong knowledge of online media Work well in a team and with a wide range of people Able to respond well to pressure Organized and methodical Proactive and able to take the initiative Excellent in English and Arabic. French is a plus
