OBGYN Doctor

Amel Association International (Amel) is a Lebanese and non-sectarian NGO created in 1979. Amel works through 27 centers, 6 mobile medical units, 2 mobile education units, and 1 protection unit, and for more than 40 years has supported the poorest regions of Lebanon, from Beirut and its South Suburbs to Mount Lebanon, Bekaa and South Lebanon. Amel offers accessible services for all in the following fields: food security, health, education, protection, child protection, gender-based violence, livelihood, promotion and protection of human rights, and rural development.

Amel Association is seeking a dedicated and experienced OBGYN Doctor to join our team at the primary healthcare center in Beirut, Lebanon. The OBGYN Doctor will be responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to women in the community, including prenatal care, childbirth, and gynecological care. This is a Part-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide prenatal care to pregnant women, including regular check-ups, ultrasounds, and monitoring of fetal development as per long-term primary healthcare subsidization protocol (LPSP).

2. Provide postpartum care to ensure the health and well-being of both mother and baby as per LPSP.

3. Conduct gynecological examinations, screenings, and procedures, including Pap smears, mammograms, and pelvic exams as per LPSP.

4. Diagnose and treat reproductive health issues.

5. Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and contraceptive options.

6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including Midwifes to provide comprehensive and integrated care to patients.

7. Documentation of patient visit accurately and comprehensively using PHENICS. 

Qualifications:

- Medical degree from an accredited institution

- LOP registration for specialty in OBGYN

- Previous experience with using PHENICS

- Proven experience in providing OBGYN care, preferably in a primary healthcare setting

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

- Fluent in Arabic and English (French is a plus)
