Project Coordinator

Amel Association is a non-governmental organization established in 1979. Through its 23 centers across Lebanon, Amel Association provides access to health care services and implements development programs targeting underprivileged populations, regardless of their nationality or political and religious affiliations. Amel Association also aims to strengthen the culture of rights among citizens, refugees and migrants and promote access to their rights and their involvement in public life. Amel Association started the program of Migrant Domestic workers since 2011 trying to decrease the violations for this fragment of society. This includes efforts to raise awareness to human rights law and clarifying the duties and responsibilities of both the employer and employee in Lebanon to decrease violations and abuse. The works have started by coordinating with all INGOSs and NGOs working with MDWs in Lebanon and constantly contacting governmental organization. Working with MDWs is a holistic approach of Advocacy, provision of services and raising awareness. The full-time position is under supervision of the Program Coordinator and in close collaboration with Amel Staff and the teams in the centers. Main Duties: 1-      National and regional coordination for all the activities of the project 2-      Optimal implementation of activities 3-      Writing reports and following-up on financials 4-      Applying for additional grants for enhancing the program 5-      Conducting field work when necessary 6-      Attending meeting with partners and following up on tasks 7-      Attending and organizing national and regional conferences/workshops 8-      Following up on media campaigns and publications 9-      Looking for opportunities of growth of Amel and sustainability of funds 10-  Dealing with a wide spectrum of donors and partners 11-  Conduct any task for the support of Amel mission Required Skills: Minimum 3 years experience in NGO Project Management is a must Ability to write comprehensive and Narrative and financial reports Experience in writing proposals and attracting funds Communication with donors Meticulous follow-up on financials Implementation and coordination of projects activities Excellent management, communication and analytical skills Commitment till the end of the project Flexibility and ability to take initiative Have a team spirit and is a problem solver Ability to manage a team Writing and typing correspondence in Arabic Experience in projects related to Migrant Domestic Workers is a plus Fluent in English and Arabic, French is a plus.
