Project Coordinator

Position Overview: 
The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of a multi-area project operating across the North, South, Bekaa, and Beirut/Mount Lebanon (BML). The Coordinator will ensure timely and coherent implementation of activities in all areas, support local teams, and ensure proper coordination with technical, MEAL, and operational departments. The role requires close collaboration with area teams, frequent field visits, and an ability to manage complexity and coordination across multiple geographic locations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage area-specific work plans and timelines in alignment with the overall project framework and donor commitments.
• Coordinate, oversee, and provide remote and in-person support for the implementation of project activities in the four target areas.
• Ensure consistency in project approaches, tools, and standards across different implementation sites.
• Liaise regularly with field teams to monitor progress, identify challenges, and co-develop solutions to ensure project quality and timeliness.
• Facilitate information flow and coordination between the different field teams and Amel’s technical, logistics, finance, and MEAL departments.
• Organize and lead regular cross-area coordination meetings with field focal points and technical leads.
• Support the preparation and consolidation of internal and donor reports, including data collection and field input.
• Track budget consumption in collaboration with the finance team and ensure activities are implemented within approved budgets.
• Oversee procurement and logistics requests related to project activities, ensuring compliance with internal and donor regulations.
• Contribute to visibility efforts and documentation of project achievements and lessons learned.
• Represent Amel and the project in relevant coordination meetings, clusters, and forums as required.
• Promote a collaborative, inclusive team culture that upholds safeguarding, protection, and PSEA standards.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Project Management, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in humanitarian or development project coordination.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-location projects is highly preferred.
• Knowledge in at least two different protection components is preferred
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working across diverse teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project locations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Fluency in Arabic and English required; French is an asset.
