PSS Community Worker - Amel PHC- El Ain

Prepare and deliver awareness sessions on mental health issues among the Syrian refugee community and host population.

Conduct PSS sessions with men, women and kids.

Conduct Community Needs Assessment within the PHC’s catchment area.

Identify and refer cases to the PHC’s mental health unit.

Coordinate with relevant agencies, bodies, and local authorities.

Submit reports concerning implemented outreach/door to door activities, awareness sessions and identification/referrals, and related challenges.

Attend related training and meetings.

Additional tasks as required.

University degree in the field of Psychology or Medical Social work .
A minimum of 2 years work experience in a similar field.
Previous working experience with INGO/NGO in a similar position is required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong grasp on mental health disorders and MHPSS interventions.
Understanding of the coordination mechanisms in the Bekaa area and Lebanon, able to navigate meetings and networking with confidence and competence.
Ability to work well in a team and under pressure and in response to changing needs.
Demonstrates ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Professional attitude and the ability to build successful working relationships. Demonstrates excellent communication, problem, solving, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrates cultural sensitivity.
Demonstrates ability to adhere to ethical considerations and principles with regard to work with vulnerable populations.
High degree of responsibility, initiative, emotional stability, culturally sensitive to those receiving aid.
Fluent in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
Apply basic computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft office.
