Teacher/Educator in South Lebanon for Education project

1. Remedial (ages 7-14) classes;

 Key Responsibilities

Teachers are in charge of: 

• Implementing qualitative educational support to the children benefiting from the educational programs.
• Teaching classes and evaluating students’ progress.
• Planning and implementing lessons as per the directions of the education specialist.
• Preparing a file for each child as per the directions of specialist and the centers’ coordinators.
• Providing age appropriate supervision and discipline.
• Maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for the child.
• Addressing cultural and special needs.
• Contributing to the ongoing operations of the centers.
• Keeping an ongoing positive communication with the parents.
• Teaching and educating students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care.
• To be fully aware of Amel’s Code of Conduct and Safeguarding policies and procedures and to ensure its implementation;
• To maintain positive discipline practices in accordance with the Save the Children’s Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Agreements;
• He/she is responsible to create conducive teaching learning environment where the students will get education as per desired format of Save the Children with approval from Ministry of Education and Higher Education;
• Is responsible for the implementing the Remedial Courses curriculum set by Amel International under the supervision of the Education Assistant;
• The teacher is responsible to follow other rules and regulations of the school;
• Ensure that children feel comfortable, safe and respected;
• To teach, according to their educational and pastoral needs, the pupils assigned to the teacher;
• To monitor and evaluate the children’s progress and welfare;

To maintain a well-organized teaching area which displays children’s work and has readily accessible resources.
