Emergency Response - Weekly Operational Update - SITREP 9

  • Escalating Crisis in Lebanon: Violence continues to worsen, with 3,754 deaths, 15,626 injuries, and 1.2 million displaced. Healthcare systems remain severely strained, with 137 attacks on facilities and 133 closures since October.
  • Amel's Reach and Shelter Support: Amel covered 170 collective shelters and distributed essential aid, including hygiene kits, food parcels, mattresses, and winterization supplies to displaced individuals and families.
  • Health Services Amid Crisis: Provided 1,576 healthcare consultations, 229 reproductive health services, and 159 mental health interventions. Medications for acute and chronic conditions were distributed to 1,774 patients, with 37 children vaccinated.
  • Psycho-Social and Protection Support: Delivered Psychological First Aid to 219 individuals, recreational activities for 1,520 children, and life skills support to 986 children, alongside counseling and emotional support for caregivers and youth.
  • Education and Learning Initiatives: Organized 55 Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and recreational sessions, reaching 451 children, with additional life skills, innovation, and caregiver support activities.
