Menstrual Health Research Consultant

Project Background:

Empowering Communities in Action is a community mobilization project being implemented in five Palestinian refugee camps (Shatila, Burj El Barajneh, Ein El Helwe, Beddawi, and Nahr El Bared) which aims to empower women and girls to improve their menstrual health and hygiene practices.

Purpose of the consultancy:

Anera is looking for a short-term consultant to work on a mixed method research (Quantitative and Qualitative) in Palestinian camps to:

  • Assess and understand changes to the menstrual health practices of Palestinian women and girls during Lebanon’s economic crisis  

Responsibilities of Consultant:

  • Prepare and submit research strategy
  • Prepare and submit first draft of assessment questionnaire and revise as needed
  • Implement research study
  • Submit comprehensive report on research findings and recommendations
  • Attend meetings as needed

Specific requirements:

Qualifications Required:

Preferred university master’s degree in Public Health and/or proven experience working on research study for communities on menstrual health management 

Language requirements:

Arabic: Fluent (Read- Write- Speak)

English: Fluent (Read- Write- Speak)

Travel:

If field visits are required to camps, transportation will be covered by project
