Community Engagement Expert (Prospective)

Key Responsibilities

1. Asses and identify the needs of the community
2. Design KAP studies regarding WASH behavior, with a focus on SWM practices of various community members and entities,
3. Analyze and report results and develop suggested interventions and solutions for improved community SWM
4. Develop strategies and procedures to engage and create awareness in targeted communities in alignment with national strategies, laws and policies.
5. Pursue information from the targeted community, and engage them through activities to understand their needs
6. Provide technical guidance to the team, work on capacity building, and high quality participation.
7. Follow up on delivery of services to communities, with a focus on the different strata of the target population.
8. Assess project priorities, follow up and monitor work milestones, targets and goals
9. Develop activities to encourage participation of youth in the community and to increase their sense of belonging and opinion.
10. Act as project associate, in coordination with the donors, and stakeholders
11. Develop tools and best practices regarding community engagement.
12. Drafting monthly reports that includes outcomes and lessons learned.
13. Perform other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor

 Basic Requirements 

• Master’s degree in Public Health or a relevant field
• At least 5 years of experience in the field of community engagement in addition to some experience in conflict settings
• 3-5 Years in a managerial role
• Solid experience in WASH interventions. Experience in SWM is a major advantage.
• Good networking skills
•  Proven ability to establish productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including municipalities, donors, etc…
•  Must have professional level English and Arabic, both written and oral · Excellent reporting skills (quantitative and qualitative)
