Job Description:
- Writes compelling human interest and success stories about Anera’s programs and activities in Lebanon
- Conducts detailed interviews with beneficiaries and local partners, to reflect the impact of Anera’s projects
- Documents in photos at least variety of 5 different photos corresponding to the story with captions
- Keeps an eye to the communication and visibility guidelines of Anera and its donors
- Abides by ethical considerations when interviewing/shooting beneficiaries, especially when stories conducted are with vulnerable communities
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to write compelling human interest and news stories (samples to be shared with HR)
- Demonstrated ability to write, speak and read both English and Arabic
- Demonstrated ability and interest in photography
- A higher education degree in a related field (i.e. media, journalism, communications)
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance as well as within a team
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communications (both written and oral) skills
- Driver’s license
- Flexibility working in different areas around Lebanon
- Proven experience and contacts within the local, national and/or international non-profit community is a plus
