About ANERA
American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA) advances the well-being of people in the West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon and Jordan. Through partnerships and close consultation with local groups and communities, ANERA responds to economic, health and educational needs with sustainable solutions and also delivers humanitarian aid during emergencies.
Incorporated in 1968 to help ease the suffering of Palestinian refugees after the Arab-Israeli War of 1967, ANERA is non-political and non-religious and is one of the largest American non-profits working solely in the Middle East for 40 years.
Organizational Setting and Reporting
The duration of an ANERA internship is normally 6 months on a full time basis - this may be exceptionally extended for a maximum period of nine months. It is awarded on the recommendation of the Program manger of the respective Division.
Interns are paid a stipend of $30/working day that covers all related expense including transportation.
ANERA accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents and/or illness incurred during an internship. Therefore, upon awarding an internship, candidates will be required to sign a statement confirming their understanding and acceptance of the conditions of service.
This internship is located within the (Health Department/In-kind Assistance) and reports directly to the Health Program Manager
Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for carrying out the following:
Assist In-Kind Program Manager in everyday operations including:
Communicating with partners and collecting feedback on offers, donations and processes
Collecting feedback from beneficiaries on assigned products
Executing donation distribution plans as set by manager
Inspection of donations and collection of distribution reports
Conducting guided monitoring visits to recipient medical centers
Reporting progress and findings to manager

Graduate from a reputable university in Public Administration, Business, Health-related field, or Social Sciences
Computer Skills
Possess excellent knowledge of all MS applications with emphasis of MS Word and spreadsheets (MS Excel)
Work Experience
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience for applying to this vacancy
Languages
For this post, fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is required.
