ANERA is preparing to implement a prospective livelihood project following a Food for Assets (FFA) modality (cash-based assistance) targeting food-insecure people in Akkar. The project aims at strengthening livelihoods and enhancing resilience through the engagement of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese in manual work, with a focus on improved solid waste management in the village of Mashha – Akkar.
Job Summary
The Livelihood Field Coordinator is responsible for the daily technical planning, supervision, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the FFA activities and for ensuring proper coordination with the community and municipality. The coordinator will supervise the work of supervisors (foremen) and project participants.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES, TASKS AND ACTIVITIES
Guide the identification and selection of FFA participants for the different project activities;
Support in planning and implementing FFA activities, to ensure that they are completed within the given timeline and achieved the intended targets;
Maintain participant records, attendance sheets and FFA agreements, as per activity guidelines;
Ensure the target numbers of project participants working in area is reached per each activity per month;
Prepare plans for the distribution and assignation of supplies;
Ensure that infrastructural works relevant to the establishment of a composting facility are according to the set plan and implemented on time;
Facilitate capacity building activities targeting municipality staff, FFA participants and community members;
Ensure that the supplies (including garbage bins) are placed appropriately and used properly by community members;
Ensure regular coordination with all stakeholders at the community level;
Liaise with the Project Manager, Logistics and Finance officers regarding financial projections, procurement, payments and necessary documentation;
Monitor the work of project supervisors/foremen;
Report on the progress of the work to the project manager;
Report issues and constraints arising from project implementation;
Ensure that the weekly/monthly work plan is respected on the field;
Collect M&E data and provide relevant reporting;
Draft weekly and monthly reports;
Identify areas for possible activities improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
University degree in a related field
A minimum of 2 years of experience in coordinating cash-for-work and livelihoods projects involving targeting and recruitment of workers;
Sound experience in team management and capacity building
Experience in working with local governance and municipalities;
Excellent command of English and Arabic.
Excellent skills in common software packages (MS Excel, MS Word…)
