Short term Consultancy
Under its rural tourism projects and activities, ANERA is seeking, during March – April and August, a consultant for 16 days: 10 days to develop marketing strategy for DHIAFEE Association including a branding scheme; and 6 days to conduct a one day training for guesthouse owners and managers in 6 different regions in Lebanon on introduction to marketing strategies and techniques.
About ANERA:
Since 2005, ANERA is implementing a community development project to support rural hospitality businesses and food providers in rural areas in Lebanon. The DHIAFEE Project aimed at leveraging the unique advantages of Lebanon with multiple points of attractions and to spread the economic benefits of tourism to rural areas. 47 alternative lodgings throughout the country were supported creating income generation and job opportunities for local families and contributing to the development of rural tourism. Through its “Support to Rural Hospitality Businesses Project” with Lebanese Industry Value Chain Development (LIVCD), ANERA focused on establishing quality standards and best practices for rural lodging facilities developing a deep understanding of the rural hospitality sector and support stakeholder organizational network / association with members being the owners and operators of guesthouses all over Lebanon.

Responsibilities
Consultant Responsibilities and Duties:
ANERA is seeking a marketing consultant on a consulting basis able to perform the following:
Develop a marketing strategy to promote DHIAFEE Association and its members including a branding scheme. It will play a major role in leveraging available tourism information to better understand who is served, their specific needs, and how DHIAFEE can better communicate with them and highlight special features of guesthouses members.
Develop 6 hours training session for guesthouses on introduction to marketing strategies and techniques. Topics include (not limited to):
Marketing channels and techniques
Networking with other stakeholders in the same region
Explain the marketing potential of using DHIAFEE label
Promote guesthouses and their services
Develop tools like brochures, content for use in social media, website, etc…
Handouts with suggested easy to use templates.
Training should be in Arabic.
Training should be interactive with ample of examples and allow practice, solicit feedback from participants and ability to adapt level according to participants levels.
Conduct this training session in 6 different regions in Lebanon for guesthouses.
Required Qualifications:
This consultancy requires an expert with a Master’s Degree in marketing, hospitality, tourism, and any experience relevant to this field; with at least 10 years experience in marketing and branding studies, and conducting workshops and trainings; in specific developing strategies, objectives and plans for small to medium enterprises; Knowledge in the rural hospitality sector and in specific guesthouses is an advantage.
