Position Summary
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring an efficient frequent management support to the health facilities supported, respecting the procedures established in the framework of the project, in order to provide quality health services to elderly Palestinian men and women.
- Support MEAL team through coordinating closely with the partner to monitor and assess the quality of activities and indicators, implement and support in the areas of data collection and reporting.
Key responsibilities, tasks and Activities
The Project Officer (PO) will conduct all responsibilities and tasks in consultation with and under the guidance of the PM.
Project Implementation
Tasks related to the implementation of project activities include but are not limited to:
- Plans and conducts regular monitoring visits of recipient partner’s pharmacy records and other information to verify receipt, disposition and disbursement of medicines granted by Anera;
- Monitors partner compliance with Good Storage and Distribution Practices of Pharmaceutical Products (GSDP);
- Conduct surveys to collect feedback from project beneficiaries and other stakeholders;
- Attends meetings, seminars, conferences and other trainings as needed;
- Speaks before various groups to present information concerning the project as needed;
- Advises Project Manager on matters concerning MEAL activities; and makes recommendations on corrective actions and changes in procedures as necessary;
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and end of project MEAL reports, and assist Project Manager in writing internal and external project reports, progress reports, Activity Info…… etc
- Collect and communicate success stories in coordination with communications staff
- Contribute in arrangements for the execution of the planned activities
- Collect monitoring data and provide relevant data analysis and reports.
- Assist the MEAL Officer in all M&E functions, including data collection, analysis
Project Conceptualization
Tasks related to project conceptualization and planning include but are not limited to:
- Review available literature, studies and best practices on pertinent health issues related to chronic diseases and medicine
- Consult with stakeholders on needs and advise partners
- Conduct needs assessments, enter relevant data, analyze findings and provide necessary reporting.
Others
- Provide overall guidance and direction focusing the project team on achieving agreed targets and long-term strategic objectives
- Represent Anera in coordination meetings as needed
- Report necessary data on internal and national databases (Activity Info)
- Keep an updated work time sheet and submit at the end of each month.
- Participate in cross-cutting team activities in collaboration with other departments at Anera.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by PM
Work Condition:
This position is an office-based post which requires frequent travel to project sites (mostly to Palestinian Refugee Camps)
Qualification
- Public Health, Pharmacy, Nurse
- 1-2 years’ experience in similar field
- Excellent command of English and good command of Arabic.
- Excellent skills in common software packages (MS Excel, MS Word, Internet Browser..)
