Social Worker

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Identification of the most vulnerable people in need

• Organize visits in the different vulnerable locations (T5).
• Conduct interviews with beneficiaries in order to identify vulnerable cases;
• Assess the needs of each cases met, based on tools provided by Area Manager.
• Promote social cohesion and demonstrate fairness in E-cards distribution between the Syrian and Lebanese population as per project plans

2. Assessment and follow-up of beneficiaries to ensure social support

• Assess the needs of the beneficiaries and their families giving particular attention to cash assistance concerns;
• Listen with respect and attention to the beneficiaries
• Establish a file for each family to note the family situation, plan of intervention, follow up and updates; based on tools provided by the Area Manager
• Promote the development and empowerment of people by providing social support to facilitate integration, adaptation, and benefit from cash assistance
• Provide insight on Cash Assistance process

3. Reporting and Evaluation

• Report on a weekly basis the updates of activities and distribution of E-cards and use
• Report immediately without any delay, problem or other relevant information to Area Manager

Job Requirements:

• A degree in Social work or related field (or 3 years’ solid relevant experience).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience of working directly with children, families and stakeholders
• Minimum of 1 year working in cash assistance projects
• Good knowledge of the English language (writing & reading)
• Excellent report writing and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Excellent computer skills and able to maintain files, registers and databases
• Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines
•  Good knowledge of the Area and its environment
• Ability and willingness to visit and work in target locations on a regular basis
