Data Expert Consultanct

AMIDEAST/Lebanon is looking for a short-term Data Expert consultant to work on an education-related project.

This role will support the team’s work with data systems. There will be two components to this assignment:

A. to support the organization strengthen its data systems by taking what currently exists,

consolidating it and turning uneven use of data into a structured education

management information system (EMIS).

B. Design, create materials and deliver a data for decision-making course for senior

Officials.

The total number of days required for this consultancy is 120 days (between August 2018 and July 2019).

Required Qualifications:

-Advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, Education or other related field.

-Expertise working with Education Management Information Systems (MIS) or equivalent systems in other sectors.

-At least 10 years’ experience in work designing data infrastructure and implementing large scale data systems, ideally including work on government management information systems.

-Extensive experience mapping and analyzing government data systems, including the use of data in decision-making at institutional, departmental and individual levels.
